This research is a glimpse and general view to ontological roots and logical innovations of Aristotle, Porphyry and Ibn Sina In universals. Aristotle with an ontological view in Thesis of Categories, brings universal’s survey as an Introduction to his Logic and this is cause of why the Logic and Metaphysics of Aristotle are impartible. According to his opinion Categories are types of Existence and universal are stairs of Existence in each Category. Porphyry with a brief interpretation on Isagoge famous Categories and bring the quintuple universals up, makes Aristotle’s Categories as pure logic and finally shows that ontological viewpoints of Plato and Aristotle are compatible with each other. In other words, he changes Aristotle’s Non-platonic ontology and knows Categories limited to Logic. On the other hand, Avicenna's innovative insight collects Porphyry’s platonic viewpoints, Aristotle’s viewpoints and some of Stoic viewpoints in itself. Findings of this research are the result of comparative study of these three philosopher’s views. The results indicate that difference views of these three and their innovations in universals is essentially because of considering a different divider for Categories. So that considering Existence as the divider of Categories by Aristotle, cause impartibility of his Logic and Ontology. In Porphyry’s considering Word as the divider of this Thesis’s Categories, this Thesis is a logical Thesis. Compatibility which Ibn Sina makes between Porphyry, Aristotle and The Stoics’ views is as considering Meaning as the divider of universals too.
