Modern philosophers like G. E. M. Anscombe, P. Geach and Philippa Foot, with a background of Aristotelian ethics, have created a new school called Neo-Aristotelian Virtue Ethics in order to solve moral questions in contemporary philosophy. Foot was a moral realist in its full scale, so to explain her philosophy, first we describe realism in ethics and its four elements. Each school in realism could accept some of these elements and deny others, but Foot believes in all four.
Foot explicates her theory using the concept of " natural normativity", which means moral norms of a specific species should be derive from its nature and members of that species should be judged according to their natural properties.
